Crystals

Crystals and stones have magickal and healing properties that can be used by anyone. Even by just having them placed around rooms, they can alter the general feeling of your home. Rose quartz in particular is great for this, as it promotes happiness and calmness. All crystals and stones should be cleared of residual energies before using them. To do this, place them in a glass bowl and fill it with water. Place the bowl so it will sit in either direct moonlight or sunlight for a few hours. Also remember, when using crystals or stones to heal, and you don't know what to use, look at the chakras. If the problem is in a specific area use a stone of that color. There is a chart in the Reiki section of this site showing the major chakras and there associated colors. Here are just a few crystal and stone and some of there uses:

  • Rose quartz is good for the heart. Emotionally and physically. A great gift stone. It promotes happiness and helps to mend problems between loved ones.

  • Amethyst is good for headaches Keep Rose quartz and Amethyst around your flat. It makes for a happy environment

  • Sodalite is good for stress

  • Tigerseye is good luck and it will help you to detect falsehoods

  • Moonstone is good for women. Especially cramping. It also boosts intuition

  • Turquoise worn at the throat will help with stuttering or when you have to speak in public and are nervous

The Futhark Runes

The word Viking is derived from a Nordic word meaning ‘adventurer’ or ‘explorer’, for what characterized these Scandinavian people was their maritime achievements in exploring vast areas of waterways and uncharted seas in their elaborately built wooden sailing boats.
